Aligning Body and Mind
Your nervous system is built to adapt, and it can get stuck. This class explains in plain language how stress patterns form, then walks you through grounding, a befriending-the-heart breath, anchoring, and a gentler way to think about meditation so you can shift from survival into ease on your own.

What you’ll learn
- How the brain’s checks and balances keep you safe, and how survival patterns get reinforced until the body is running on its usual stress hormones.
- Why you can’t grow and heal and be in survival at the same time, and what that means for how you spend a day.
- A grounding practice you can do in a chair: feel gravity, send roots down, come back to the body.
- Meditation as focusing rather than emptying the mind, including moving meditations for people who hate sitting still.
- Befriending the heart: hand on heart, the comforting direction, a 4-7-8 breath until the sigh comes, then flooding the body with something you love.
- Anchoring, so you can return to a regulated state on purpose when life gets loud.
- Why emotions are not “negative,” only love or fear, and how to act from anger without being run by it.
Who it’s for
Anyone who has been told to “manage stress” without ever being shown how the body actually does it. No experience needed. Have a chair, a quiet twenty minutes after the video, and a willingness to feel your feet on the floor.
